I had the idea to set up a website with my old toys about a year and a half ago. In moving from one state to another and relocating not only my immediate family but also my parents, I had to clear out a lot of toys and other collectables. Our new home would be bigger but my parents would be downsizing. I wanted to get to a core collection that could be mostly displayed or at least easily accessed. There was no way to keep decades of toys in the transition.
During the process of finding new homes for the collections, I had taken a lot of pictures. Some good, some not so great. But it was a good amount of content and most had decent lighting. Many times toy photos are straight on or as part of a display. My photos sometimes have odd angles and I hope will help give a good sense of the how the toys look up close.
I’m planning to add the bulk of my old toys during the next few weeks. We’ll see how it goes.
